Welcome to United Star League Book Club

Childrens Reading Club
A Division of Library and Educational Services LLC

What:

The United Star League is a space themed children’s reading club.

Each State, Washington D.C., our Territories and Military Bases are designated as star systems.

Each of these star systems also has a starship assigned to them. Each starship is given a name. The name is U.S.S. plus the State’s Capital, such as U.S.S. Lansing.

Each starship is also given a designation. It is the CRC plus the year the starship begins construction and a three-digit number of when the starship construction started. An example is CRC23001 which would be the U.S.S. Lansing. CRC stands for Children’s Reading Club.

Michigan’s starship designation would be U.S.S. Lansing CRC23001.

Planets are current and future Library and Educational Services customers such as schools, libraries, homeschool groups or military bases. Since our solar system has nine planets (I still count Pluto), only the first nine of each in a State that join are planets. Their planet’s name will be the city the customer is located in.

Star Bases are current and future Library and Educational Services customers such as schools, libraries, homeschool groups or military bases that join after the first nine. There can be several star bases. They are designated by the number they join. The first star base would be star base 1. The tenth star base would be star base 10. There is no difference between Star Bases and Planets except in the name. Benefits are the same.

Deep Space Stations are Native American schools or orphanages. They would be designated as Deep Space plus the next number in sequence.
